Use this service to apply for a rebate if you are an employer paying for your employees to take time off work due to illness (or injury not covered by any other Act, benefit or program).
When an employee takes time off work for illness or injury, employers can provide paid leave and then apply for this rebate.
Employers and their employees must be Yukon-based to be eligible for this rebate.
Before you start
You need:
- A phone number and email address so we can contact you.
- Proof of business registration from Government of Yukon (Corporate Affairs).
- A copy of your municipal business licence, proof of your office location (such as a utility bill or lease), or a notice of assessment from Canada Revenue Agency (CRA) for the year.
- Copies of the most recent paystubs (for all employees in the application) covering the dates they were sick. See example paystub.
If your business has a paid sick leave policy, you also need:
- A copy of your paid sick leave policy, including its renewal date.
- A copy of all the paystubs in which your program paid the employees for sick leave for the current program year.
We accept digital photographs and documents in PDF, DOC, CSV or XLS formats.
